About the Series and Book
Robert Muchamore's 4th book in the CHERUB series, "The Killing", is a book of sheer interest, excitement, and many twists and turns! This was one of my favorite CHERUB series reads! The main character of this series is James Adams, a 14 year old teenager who is currently living and working with CHERUB, a secret spy organization in the UK for youthful kids and young adults at the maximum age of 18. At CHERUB, James learns how to fight like a true man, with new and fascinating techniques you would never expect a 14 year old to be capable of! He also gets to go on secret missions, which in turn will give him more priority and popularity at the campus.
In "The Killing", James is having a good life at CHERUB; he's making friends, he's having fun, and he exceeds on his missions, earning him lots of respect from the kids and staff at the campus. James, being a 14 year old boy, has a girlfriend named Kerry. In the first part of this book, James and Kerry get into this one huge fight, which in turn leads to James hitting out at this innocent new kid at the campus, Andy Lagan, which gets him into a tsunami of trouble. James's only way out of his trouble is to go on a mission, which he joyfully accepts to do so. James once again gets to work with his fellow agent, Dave Moss, the most popular 17 year old at CHERUB. They both go to South London and investigate Leon Tarasov, a Russian man who owns a garage and is involved in a serious amount of crimes. This operation turns out to be a success, as Dave gets a job there, and James getting key information from his new girlfriend, Hannah, on the mission. He finds out about the death of Hannah's cousin, Will, which in turn leads to the capture of Leon Tarasov and other people involved with Leon.
Inferences about the main character and myself
James is an athletic 14 year old boy who loves to enjoy life's wonders! I am also a 14 year old boy, and I am quite athletic as well. James, as a boy living in England, is a very big fan of the national sport football. His favorite club is Arsenal FC (Football Club). I too love the sport, and my favorite team is indeed Arsenal FC. Sometimes, James can get into heaps of trouble, like any other teenager would. As a teenager myself, I too get into trouble, and similarly like James, try to get out of that trouble in cheeky ways.
